Replacement Shells for MVS carts?

Hey All,

Long, long time lurker, rookie poster.

I finally got the Super Gun / MVS board set I've always wanted, and being a Graphic Designer, had some questions.

I know of the Yanton (sp?) and Shock Boxes available for MVS carts. My question is, are there any vendors who sell replacement shells for the actual carts? The lot that I got the above hardware in had some AMAZINGLY DIRTY carts - I cleaned the contacts and they all work perfect...they just look like they've been pulled from an archeologist's dig. Dust, scrapes, gouges, torn labels, etc.

My goal is to one day have a wall full of freshly cases, new labeled MVS carts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Jason

repro cases would be cool, but I think our best bet is a little WD40 and a lot of scrubbing.

WD-40 isn't good on all plastics so I would test first. On some plastic depending on the chemical compound it can melt the plastic and in some cases make it hazy in appearance. But you can always use Plastix.

I used to sell some a long time back but sold my remaining stock to Shawn here (well, at neostore.com). Ask Shawn to get them listed so that you can buy some from him.

I also sold him some of my custom made glossy laser label stock for MVS carts. He should list those too.

I have used isopropyl alcohol to clean a few MVS cases. Works well but can't help deep scratches.

Be careful about some replacement MVS shells. I have a couple of carts that are slightly too large to fit in my MV-1FZ.
