I just got a mvs Super Dodgeball bootleg and the music keeps cutting off halfway or doesnt play at all. It's all at random. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

that's bootlegs for you.
open it up and clean the contacts, check all chip pins for broken solder spots.

Don't feel bad Sal. Super Dodge Ball was virtually impossible to find until a new batch of boots came out recently. The originals were just too uncommon . . . <IMG SRC="smilies/crying.gif" border="0">

Wherever you bought it from (hopefully Cosmicco) should replace the cart for you.

hmm.. I got mine from mdgamesales on ebay, I'll just email them but what is Cosmicco web address? Has anyone else bought super dodge ball from them? Experience any sound glitches?

Thanks

Well,

Sound is the first to go on bootlegs. I am not sure if it is because the sound chips are on the top board and more sustable to natural and UV light (thus erasing them) or if sound data is just more picky about the chip it is coming out of... or whatever... but the bootlegs I have had in the past, all but one had problems with sound and nothing else. By the way, the real SDB carts are going down in price now. I have seen some real ones for $150 being offered at various places. Your best bet is to try european shops/sellers. As a rule, there are much less bootleg games over there. I bought a pop n bounce, super dodgeball, and a Neo Turf Masters (all highly bootleged games) from European places... and they all seemed offended that I asked if they were original or not... and of course they were all original (and basicly mint to boot).

Doesn't happen that quickly i think.
You know how long it takes for an exposed eprom to loose it's information? To Erase a eprom a very powerfull UV light is used, which offcourse can cause skincancer. So leaving a eprom in the sun for 1 day wont erase the data. I think the problem is more in the materials used for the creation of a bootleg everything has to be the cheapest.
