I supposed an internal mod with component jacks on the rear would be pretty cool though.

But would it be worth it? From a Dreamcast, would you get much better video via component than you would via vga?

I don't know what it is, but having component or s-video flush mounted on a classic console looks sick. Hell, my Atari 2600 has s-video flush mounted. Now that is awesome.
