MVS display rotate 180 degrees?

Hi there!

Some problems I'm having with my 2 slot MVS led me to this website.

I bought a cabinet recently that had some sync problems. I replaced the chassis IC and now I have a clear and stable picture.

Problem is that my MVS displays upside down. I've inserted another JAMMA board in to the cabinet - works fine, orientated correctly. When I insert the MVS into another cabinet, it's still upside-down. So basically it's the Neo Geo.

I've played with all the dips, searched the intermenet, and I can't find any mention of upside-down MVS's or how to flip the display.

What's going on?

And short of rotating the screen 180 degrees, is there another way to make a CRT display upside down?

Thanks in advance for your constructive and helpful ideas.

Sincerely,
Brenden

If all of your DIP switches on the MVS are set to off, then it should be outputting a normal signal. On the game that ran normally...check its DIP settings to see if it is set to flip screen. If it is, then reverse the sync cable on the monitor(going from monitor chassis board to CRT). You will probably want to discharge the CRT first.

EDIT: By this I mean reverse the polarity of the vertical sync cable. That will reverse the way the screen is drawn.

As far as I know (please somebody correct me if I'm wrong) there's no way to flip the screen in a MVS via soft dip, so the problem should be somewhere else.
