yet another Phantom Convert Question

well on another post someone was talking about making a case for the converter. i've heard its easy but do you need an special tools, to actaully open the cart up? any tips for putting one 2gether would be a big help..thanks in advance

To open an AES cart, you have to cut or remove the label where the cart case splits in 2 at the top. Then on the front half of the case along the split, you have to push down on certain spots and separate the 2 halves. There are no screws, it pops off if you push all the release points. One on top and I believe 2 on each side.

thanks, sounds very simple. then after that do you just cut off the top and side(to make room the rca jacks) and put in and close the cart back up?

Yuhp. But the adapter will shift forward and backward unless you put something to brace it. I taped plastic inside as a spacer so it doesn't shake. Also don't forget to use the board divider near the bottom of the cart.
