Should my CMVS have a fan?

Or if not a fan, some vents? I figure Neo boards don't really heat up, especially if your running them off 5v only, but it is ok to totally enclose them?

I'm about to start cutting holes for audio/video/controller jacks in the same aluminum enclosure as the Jamma X Nation Garou CMVS, other than the slot on top for the cartridge its going to be pretty air tight, should I drill some holes in the bottom for a bit of air flow? or do these things really not heat up, especially when you've bypassed the onboard amp (the only thing with a heat sink anyways) for stereo sound and 5v only operation?

If the board's going to be enclosed, I'd add a small fan just to to be sure. Something like a 40mm

Ridiculous.

Some people on here seem to have an obsession with putting fans where they're completely unnecessary.

You don't need a fan for something that's only pulling 1.3A on the +5v line. The slot is ventilation enough.

The board's meant to be on all day, and few of us often leave our CMVS's on for more than a few hours at a time.
