Can a 6- slot board plug into a dedicated 2-slot machine for testing with out any damage being done?
Can a 1-slot Board plug into a dedicated 4-slot machine for testing with out any damage being done?
I guess My main question is can any mvs board be plugged into any mvs big red for testing purpose without causing any damage and how do you feel about testing mvs boards in a jamma cab?
Thanks in advance for any input.

i don't think it would cause any damage as long as all the connectors match and the power supply can handle the board

2 slot and 4 slot machines are wired for stereo. Don't plug a mono only 1 slot board into it. (MV1B, MV1C, etc...) You'll risk damage to the audio amp chip as it's not wired for mono JAMMA.

The 1 slot boards that have a stereo/mono switch can be plugged in without issue as long as you set them to stereo mode.

I read about the wiring difference between jamma and mvs and I understand. I didn't know that you could blow the audio amp chip. So thanks for the info. http://www.hardmvs.com/html/jamma.htm

Also, does a 6-slot board need more power than any other multi mvs board?

Yes, the 6-slot is quite power hungry!

More power to the engines!
