This is a question for anyone who has consolized an mvs motherboard. I'm thinking about doing one but was wondering how to build an outer case to protect it from dust etc. How have other people done it? I might be able to get access to a vacuum former but i'd love to see a few pictures if anyone's got any to get some ideas. Do you need to leave holes to allow cooling etc? Think I saw a picture of one Heckendorm had done which had cooling holes cut in it.

I used the shell from a dead Sega Saturn with an MV-1A motherboard:

nice. Is that one a horizontal loading board? Do you lift the top off to put the cartridge in? I was thinking of trying to get hold of a 2 slot because I heard they were the best to consolize.

@Xian Xi

You can use the picture on your page, btw.

Or do you want more/other pictures?

Ben Heckendorn's one was done in his signature layered-CNC type case.

For a CMVS, if you want the best and can stand to do a little extra wiring, get yourslef an MV-1C, they're so much smaller and can take just 5 volts.

And, I'm going to do a case in wood for my new MV-1C I just got in.
