I was putting new inserts for my shockboxes in some games and I noticed my copy of metal slug is missing 2 screws. Regardless of the fact that I feel like I now paid too much for it (should have noticed it when I got it. Live and learn), I was wondering what kind of screw is used for mvs carts so I can pick 2 new ones up so the case doesn't half open up when I go to play it. Little help?

Just take a screw out of another cart - and rock two carts with 3 screws each!

crisis going down to yellow alert, brown, ahh and now back to white.

honestly don't worry about it.

I would. Without 4 screws the PCBs move back and forth too much and the traces on the CHA board can be rubbed off. This would cause graphic glitches as it would cut the traces going to the S1.

3 screws per cart would be alright though.

Should be fine. Put 2 at the bottom and 1 near the label.

If the screws are the same as the ones in the old style controllers, (will have to check) I may have a couple spares left over from stick mods.

They are the same screws SNK uses for MVS carts, Old Style Sticks and AES shells.

You could take one out and bring it with you to the hardware store.

That's what I was planning to do when I got off work that day but the seller contacted me about it and is sending me the screws that are missing. All worked out in the end.

Hmm, went to Lowes and Home Depot and they didn't have anything exact. But of course you can get something with the same pitch and length.
