Air Zonk clone, looks pretty awesome. I ordered one. Anxious to give it a try. Anyone else with a Lynx picking this up? It's like the first homebrew effort, no scratch that, GAME that looks decent on the system.

Definately let us know how it plays. I had seen it on the SuperFighter page some time ago, very cool that they finally released it. If its any good I'll definately pick it up.

will do. It looks better than pretty much anything one the system...up there with Ninja Gaiden 3 and....well, thats about it. Everything else is Atari 7800 level in terms of depth....and fun factor.

I dare you to find a more enjoyable game on the 7800 than Ninja Golf! Had to buy a 7800 just for that one!

Maybe I'll bust out the Lynx this week. I know I have at least one game worth playing.

Ninja Golf is pretty rad, specifically the "putting"

I played that a ton and Karateka...which was terrible. Choplifter and Ballblazer were both pretty fun.

Purchased! I think there's a lack of love for Lynx around here...

Playing on Ver 1 or 2 of the Lynx?

I mix it up. I was playing today on a V2, I still have my original V1 from back in the day xmas 89 or 90. Which i play on for nostalgic reasons from time to time...plus the sound/screen is better on the V1's in my opinion.

Glad you ordered it, anxious to hear what you think. I think the game is fairly tough. I'm going to try and credit-feed through it tonight

I'm glad to hear it, I just got a parts Lynx off of Ebay, I'm hoping I can use it to fix the unit I have now so I can play this game. I ordered it this afternoon.

PS- Beggar Prince also rocks

Damn, that game looks so rad! I want it! Definately looks like a game I'd enjoy.

Not sure if I'd buy another Lynx to play it though............... anyone want to trade me for a decent Lynx? With Ninja Gaiden?

@NeoTurfMasta: I don't think it has unlimited continues. I just played for awhile and got what I think is a forced GAME OVER screen. I could've accidentally said "no" on the continue screen but I am pretty sure I didn't.

Also, no score/name entry screen, which makes me kinda' sad since its a shooter.

Still, rad game. Might be the only game on the Lynx to actually have an ending as well. [theory]

Its probably a good thing that it doesn't have unlimited, it will force me to improve my play. Maybe we'll have to make a high score thread.

Projects like these make me happy. I might just have to order myself one. I need to see if my original v1 lynx still works. I had thought that the v2 screen was backlit vs the frontlit v1? Is that incorrect? Is it worth it to pick up a v2 from ebay?

It took me over a minute before I realized that I own a Lynx after reading this thread.

Should probably mess with that one of these days...

That's pretty awesome. I have a Lynx that I'll be breaking out of storage with the rest of my old collection in a few months. This might be a fun game to get.

I have never even played on a Lynx, but always thought they looked like interesting systems. Pretty sure they never took off here in the UK. Something about battery life I heard. Personally I love my SEGA Game Gear.

anyone else playing? The game has some decent challenge to it and length. I'm having a hard time with some of it. I reeeaaallllllyyyy wish it had a high-score screen though. :(

The Lynx is really underrated IMO. There are some good games, especially considering the time in which it was released. It blew away the game gear and game boy in terms of technical capabilities. The licensing is really where it fell short. That game really does look amazing.

A few games I really enjoy on the Lynx: Ms. Pac-Man, Rampage, Todd's Adventures in Slime World, California Games and it's not great, but I really like the version of Rampart for some reason.

I remember reading about this early last year and being very impressed with what I saw. The footage of this game looks incredible. I'll definitely be picking this up in the near future.

Yep, I got it in on Monday, but only started playing it yesterday. Definately fun, but quite difficult. Though the hard part may be trying to get used to the gigantic dpad again. That and life not replenishing after every level. Maybe I need to skim the manual to see if theres something I'm missing about refilling my life meter.
