just went to golfland with a buddy and they had 2 new deltas linked up with sf 4. they had a vewlix L and the had the noir cab with tekken 6. its pretty cool to check em all side by side. we spent a bit of time on the deltas with the official sf4 panels. they had a ton of other fighters too. not a bad set up at all.

Good to know. Haven't been down that end of the bay area for a while. At least I now have an excuse :)

Nice, thx for the scoop J! I haven't been to that place in a while, just kind of an out of the way drive, but will have to finally get down there on a weekend.

This thread is in need of an absolute eye sore of a cell phone pic.

That posted, about the arcade... I was there about a month ago, it was in shambles. Almost half of the monitors needed work. There were broken controls on both the CVS2 set ups.

Seeing it yesterday I was in disbelief. I haven't seen an arcade make a change for the better like that since the 1990's I swear. They fixed most the monitor problems. Yeah, SF4!! in New Delta cabinets. And they brought in the oldschool KOF XI and SVC Chaos cabinets from some other GL.

For cats who aren't familiar with the arcade, the fighting line up was somethng like...

SF4, linked arcade game, 2-3 console set ups not turned on.
Blaz Blue in the 'lix L
Tekken 6 in Cabinet Noir
3rd Strike, 32" Dynamo, h2h 25" Big Blues
CVS2, 32" Dynamo, h2h 25" Dynamos
MVC2 32" Dynamo, h2h 32" Dynamos!!!
Fist of the North Star - 29" flatscreen cabinet.
SVC Chaos 25" dynamo
KOF XI 25" Dynamo
Street Fighter Collection ROM cabinet (emulator lags, not worth 25c)
Super Puzzle Fighter

Theres also some Neo-Geo's in the classics alley. It was weird being in an arcade in the early afternoon.

oh yeah Justin, FUCK YOUR GUILE!

The golfland in Sunnyvale used to be a testing ground for arcade machines back in the day. I remember when War: Final Assault was in there linked up with 4-6 cabs and there was an atari guy there taking feedback on the game. He said the game hadn't been released and that place was to determine whether or not it would be. Good times..I dunno if they still test games there though, but it would be awesome.

I grew up spending my allowance at that place...now I take my kids there.

Last time we were there...they also had about 4 cabs for sale. Usually in the $200 range...but they also will take best offer. If I had the room I would have picked up a U.S. Cab with CVS 2. Monitor and PCB was fine...just needed a cosmetic restoration. :(
