Seing that SvC is going to get and MVS release @ $1850 I figured that when the AES is released the MVS would still be WAY more expensive.

Has anyone tried one of these AES --> MVS converters? I know that new games uses encryption, could this cause a problem? And lastly, when do you think SvC will hit the $325 mark?

Well, I think the starting price for KoF 2002 MVS was around 1500$, and it also fell pretty fast. I wouldn't be surprised if when the AES is released (assuming there's a release) the MVS costs the same or less.

But "when" is not really my question here. What I'm wondering is if the newer games will work with this thing.

You are looking for a blue or grey phantom-1. !Arcade! Claims that the Black phantom-1 will also work with encrypted games, but many other people have said otherwise.

He's looking for an AES->MVS converter, not the regular MVS->AES converter like the Phantom. He want to use AES games in a MVS board. Whatever the point is in that anyway loco .

I see....

I believe he will have to have a custom made 120-100 pin converter made for the graphics board and one for the program board then.

I found this at NGFUSA's site.

It looks pretty easy to make, but alas my skills with soldering is pretty weak. If anyone knows someone who could make one for me that would be great!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That would work. It basically lets you run your home system and carts through your cab. Thing is, home systems have terrible RGB compared to the MVS.
