Ever since I got my Super Neo Type II, I noticed the LCD never worked because it just wouldn't power on. I opened it up and noticed the power supply was fried...tried fixing it and it still never worked. (Maybe something else was wrong with the power supply...never found out) Anyway, these past 7 months I have been in contact with cgbartek (about the sideart and the LCD) and he explained to me that he had an extra LCD set because it didn't work. He said that I could take it off his hands for a small price, which I did the other week. I exchanged the power supplies in the LCD panel, low and behold: (at the bottom, working on the machine at the moment):

This was the culprit:

It burned right through...I tried fixing it however the power never went through it again.

I'm so happy this is fixed, now I can continue fixing the machine up. HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to cgbartek for keeping in touch with me, helping me with various type II problems and selling me the parts I needed to get it working again!

So those with a screwed up Type II lcd monitor, check the power supply, it may have burned out!

I took some pics of the boards inside the LCD box if anyone wanted to know heh

Custom SNK board that controls the settings on the LCD

Another board made by Tdk that connects everything together

Toshiba Camera board for the Camera there is a little piece that connects it to the camera, looks to be an SNK part.

And the actual camera

There is also that power board... Hope this helps!

I've got a Type II with LCD, but it was never installed. Any idea what each connector does? And the yellow switches?
