ESP Ra.De. free play?

Hi guys,

So I wired up the second player of my Mini Cute and was ready to get some ESP Ra.De. action going. I put in the board to see which way to rotate the monitor. I try to add credits, but it looks like there's something wrong with my coin mech. I figured I would set the board to free play, but I don't see and dips on the pcb.

Questions:
- Can you set ESP Ra.De. to free play? If yes, then how?
- What do you think could be the issue with the coin mech? It has the ground hooked up, but when I hook up the other (non-ground) wire, the game just continuously resets itself.

I would prefer to go the free play route if it's an option, but any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I managed to get the coin mech problem squared away. It was just a matter of plugging in the correct wire. I also managed to rotate the monitor and bezel. It's coming along nicely now.

It's a bummer that I'll have to open the face of the cab to credit-up, but worst things have happened I suppose.

why don't you wire it to a spare button, maybe even start?

I hadn't thought of that. I suppose I could wire it up to the player 2 start as I couldn't see anyone wanting to get that cozy with me during intense shmup action.

Kern saves the day once again.

I decided to wire up the 2P start to the coin mech seeing as I'll be using the Mini as a dedicated vert cab and wouldn't have much use for the 2nd player in general. The quick connects on the coin mech were too large though, but I had some smaller quick connects in the cab that weren't being used (I'm pretty sure for the kick harness, but not 100% possitive). Using scissors and nail-clippers (couldn't find my wire cutters), I sacrificed the odd wires and managed to rig up the start button without much trouble. Not bad for a noob :buttrock:.

Now I just need to get a wood board to mount the pcb, a repro overlay from EG, a replacement foot mat, and I should be good to go.

Thanks again Kern! I really appreciate the help.
