Been toying around with the idea for a get together for a while now since we haven't done anything recently. PA area meet ups were fairly frequent circa 2006-2007 and it is time to bring them back. There seems to be some talk in MN among other places for pinball meet ups and I thought it would be an interesting idea as there are some local pin fans out there (Fish I'm starting with you and I hope you can make it :))

Lady and Gentlemen here we go ...

Had time to scope the place out a few weeks ago:

http://www.pinball-parlour.com/

This guy has an amazing collection of Williams Pinball machines from the 1950s on up, about 60 machines in all. Here is the game list for those too lazy to click further on the website (Ever see a joust head to head pinball machine?):

http://www.pinball-parlour.com/gamelist/index.php

He also has a decent number of arcade games (some do need some TLC especially the Galaga cab though), but no fighters and most are Midway games (He does have CAP and the Avengers and Turtles among others)

$15 for three hour play 7-10, and then gaming meetup at white castle's.

Stefan and myself will begin the head count, who is interested????

BTW the place is the first exit on the Northeast Extension, easy to get to from Philly (1/2 an hour from King of Prussia exactly) and points south, DE, and even places like Scranton, Trenton, and New Brunswick, NJ. Even the central NY border is only 2.5 hours away.

Its a little dark around the area, so if you can make it don't think you're lost when you are looking for the place.

Time to put down those copies of WMS Pinball Collection for the 360/Wii/PS3 and play the real thing.

Roll Call!

I'd likely be interested in attending. It all depends on when things happen.

As you can see from my join date and post count I am not a very active member here. I do however live around a mile up the road from the pinball parlour and will probably make it out there.

Being that you're from the area, how is the bowling alley? Any issues you see for us going there afterwards?

Well they don't serve drinks. Other than that it is a nice place.

Did this place use to be in Lansdale? I remember I was in town visiting and I was looking for places that had arcades and what not. I think this place came up on the GPS but it said it was in Lansdale.

It's off of the Lansdale exit, so yes it is nearby. Any chance you can make it?

As long as they have a couple of Pat lawler machines, I'll be aight...

I always wanted to play earthshaker.

PS:
Any word on what University Pinball plans to do?
Just wondering. I'm glad I went there a week before teh Fire.

I don't know about U Pinball, Stefan can you elaborate?

Fish, I know you like pins, I promise you won't be disappointed. :)
I played Earthshaker there, I also played it over the summer on the Jersey shore.

There is a retrocade in Seaside Heights that has Earthshaker, Junkyard, Pinbot, Whirlwind, and a few more. I know you go to Wildwood, but if you get the chance check out Seaside Heights.

One more thing, I played Hurricane at the Pinball Parlour, ever play that? I thought that was pretty kewl.

I'm dying to play whirlwind again... I play it like mad on the Wii... Top out at 130,000,000.

Haven't played in since the early nin-tys.

Same goes for funhouse.

Never played Hurricane.. But I barely remember playing it's cousin, Cyclone. Don't remember much about the game just Ron and Nancy on the backglass. Jesus, I was only 10 or 12 at the time. The PC-10 at the pizza shop got way more play.

Funhouse and Whirwind are both awesome, one of the flippers on the Funhouse machine at the Parlour is a little touchy though.

I liked Taxi on the Wii, but didn't like that one as much in person though, but I think Pinbot is better in person.

Anyone else interested in coming? Vanilla Thunder maybe?

Yes it was in lansdale, and the owner relocated it to his garage a few years back. It is about 20 min north of lansdale on allentown road now.

I would have no problem with that if we decide to do that instead of bowling, fine by me. :) Thank you for the offer.

I wouldn't mind having people over in the near future for some neo gaming myself, but the Parlour is a little too far from my place, that is why I was thinking about the bowling alley to keep the evening going

If we do decide on going to your place afterwards, let me know if you want me to bring anything, I have almost every mvs cart out there among other things. What do you have gaming rig wise?

I should be down for this. It's just a matter of getting my schedule for that weekend cleared as far as work. Will definitely depend if there's anyone going on vacation that week.

Wow super unexpected!!!! Obviously my busy period at work will be over so you can stay as long as you want and we can do whatever. I already had some ideas for the next time you come back.

I have a dedicated six slot and a generic cab with an atomiswave in it. A friend of mine also has a couple of cabs and nowhere to put them so they will be at my house in the next couple of weeks, and those would be a dedicated four slot and a generic cab which I believe has a taito f3 in it.
I also have an aes, a consolized 1 slot and a supergun with another 1 slot.
I only have 1 tv that can be moved to the basement where the cabs are, and I only have two neo sticks. So if someone could bring 2 tvs and 4 neo sticks we could have a shitload of neo action going on.

I will try to figure out what games I don't have that would be good for you to bring.

Sounds like you have most areas covered!!

Maybe if Jon is coming he'd be willing to bring Fist of the Northstar for the atomiswave and his big television and lcd (he brings the big tv everytime he comes my way)?? I have some commodore monitors and possibly my gxtv I can bring too. Let me know on the aw front, I have Neo Battle and Neowave.

Do you still have that white castle crave case stick I saw from one of your posts ?

Ha ha! I had forgotten about that stick.

I let a friend borrow it a few years ago and never got it back. I will try to track it down before the 12th. I do however have a crave case supergun.

Fist of the Northstar would be sweet. I have NGBC, Neowave, Rumblefish, and DolphinBlue.

Do you have an mvs to aes converter? I only have a few aes games, so it would be nice to be able to use the system for mvs.

I'll definitely bring the Atomiswave. I'm somewhat hesitant to bring a ton of stuff as I'll probably only be there a couple days. So, I'll probably leave the big TV here.
