Anybody got a good US resource for having a JP Sega Saturn repaired? The lithium battery clip fell out of one of my spare Saturns and it's just sort of floating around loose and the system won't save any games. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you can't find someone, have you tried a memory cart? That way you could still save game data.

The only memory cart I have is the 4 in 1 and that is only archival. Since the lithium battery is no longer connected to the motherboard, there's no way for me to transfer the stored data into the system memory. At least, not a way that I know of.

I really want to get this repaired because it's busted hardware and makes me a sad panda.

Are there any memory carts that act as system memory and not archival? If so, any help would be appreciated.

Official Sega Memory cart is what you want to get. As far as the battery goes, you can easily get another battery clip. Look at NES/SNES/Genesis cart battery replacement online for example.

If you go the Memory Cart route you'll thank yourself for getting a JPN version official cart because US versions are usually overpriced.

Yes and there is no difference other than cart color.

remounting the battery clip shouldn't be a terribly difficult process. i'd offer to do it for you but i'm not even remotely nearby. has anything actually snapped/broken, or has the solder just cracked and let the clip fall off the board?
