I have a G07 monitor that keeps blowing the f901 fuse. I replaced the HOT and the flyback but it still blows. Anyone know what I should look for next?

A short somewhere... ;)

Time for you to drag out the schematic and look around a bit. Any semiconductor in the direct line of power is your first thing to check.

X401, X402, D401, and X01 (the HOT) come to mind.

After that there are several safety caps around X01 to check.

Look for any obviously bad parts that are cracked, bulged, burnt, etc...

I'm not sure if I tested the tranistors correctly but this is what I did.

X401 ----black lead on middle leg----red lead on base .589, red lead on collector= nothing
X401 -----black lead on middle----red lead on base .589, red lead on collector= 1.2xx
D401 tested good
HOT is brand new

BTW--which are the safety caps and how would I test them?

Look at the schematic... they are in the area around the HOT / Flyback that is shaded on the diagram.

How do I test these safety caps? Can I use a DMM or do I need something else?
