micromvs2-150x150.jpg

A good friend of mine just completed what is possibly the smallest CMVS in the world.

And roughly 500 solder points.

More info here: http://neogeofanclub.com/?p=324

Congrats on this project, B.

I like the color scheme used on the CMVS. The MVU blue and white looks awesome.

Using a B instead isn't a bad idea, just as time consuming as it sounds. One i had in mind seemed a bit long, so it's a thought.

Ya, I saw this yesterday. It's badass. I thought Brian was going to make his announcement today so I didn't make a thread.

. As much work as it is, it was a lot of fun. The case is 9.5" x 1.5" x 5". I dont know the weight, but it's pretty damn light. Powered only through a 5v external psu.

That looks damn nice. I'd personally prefer it be a little taller, so that you could create a housing for the cart to sit in, for stability's sake. But no denying the craftsmanship. Awesome job.

Nice work indeed!

What have you done to secure both pcbs together, so everything doesn´t come apart when you pull the mvs cart?

To fit the space just right I put several small washers and bolted them down. It required some drilling. The cart slot board doesnt budge.

what case was this?

It was just a plain aluminum project box, honestly I dont remember where I got it. Probably from Mouser as I order most of my stuff from them. I cut off about 2 inches of its height with my Dremel.

I commend you for your patience! Very, nice, neat, and most importantly, simple aesthetic design! Less is always more in my opinion! Very nice work indeed!
Congrats on your achievement! :buttrock:
