You should have a look at all the faqs out there...
Try <a href="http://www.hardmvs.com" target="_blank">www.hardmvs.com</a> and the FAQ from MVSteve here:
<a href="http://www.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/game/22649.html." target="_blank">http://www.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/game/22649.html.</a> Also Chris Mullins FAQ here:
<a href="http://www.neogeoforlife.com/misc/misc.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.neogeoforlife.com/misc/misc.shtml</a>

If after having read ALL those faqs you still have CONCRETE questions feel free to post them here and we'll do our best to answer them.

Good luck and welcome on board! <img src="graemlins/mrt2.gif" border="0" alt="[Mr T]" />

I have a little arcade in my house. I have KOF '96 personally, the whole 'strikers' thing was best avoided I think.

anyway, what do you really want to know? I mean, if it's how to find an arcade machine, then you'll want to look around for the people in your area that have them. Lots of people buy off Ebay, and that seems to work out for them. It's not hard to convert almost any arcade machine to MVS, but you'll want to post that question when you have a machine in mind. Like: ' I'm looking at a williams joust for 100$, how hard would it be to make this MVS?'

usually the answer is that it's not that hard. Just buy a 1,2,4 or 6 slot board and plug it into any JAMMA cabinet and you're off. Of course there's a few little wiring details because MVS isn't TOTALLY JAMMA, but it's close enough that it's easy to do.

as for where to find machines? Well, I got one recently from a head-shop in my town. The guys step-father was giving them to him, and he needed money(probably for pot) and was selling them for about 100$ each. I also got one for 800$ from a guy that leaves them in pizza shops and stuff, and just runs around collecting the money and splitting it with the owner. So, next time you're playing an MVS game in a pizza shop, ask for the manager and get the number of the guy that owns the game. That's what I did, but expect to pay a mint from them and arcades, they don't like collectors.

Most people don't really want to sell one, unless it's on EBAY, so be prepaired for the cold shoulder. I think I only got mine because they were tired of the daily calls!

anyway, check out my set-up here:

just PM me with anything else you want to know, and read those faqs!

I recommend seeking out auctions in your area. Check <a href="http://www.basementarcade.com" target="_blank">www.basementarcade.com</a> and <a href="http://www.coinop.org" target="_blank">www.coinop.org</a> to find some auction listings.
