x'eye problems

I guess I'm dependent on most of my gaming info on this web site lately so I did not know where else to turn.

basically the system plays fine for about 5 minutes. however, after a while, when I put in another game, the initial load up screen (where the JVC X'EYE sign comes up) starts to mess up a bit and the games load, but they take longer to do so and it generally works badly.

what could be wrong? This is really pissing me off...

Possibly needs a new optical lens?

Not sure if it will help ? but try testing the output of the power supply. Since that is the most overlooked thing there is on any console.
