Ok, so a monitor rotated 90 degrees for an airplane game is not uncommon...

But how is the image rotated on the screen? Is it in the cart or the MB?

Does the image get squished or cropped when It's rotated one way or the other?

the image isn't rotated, the actual monitor is rotated, it is cheaper to buy a new veritcal mount cabinet then rotating the monitor in your horizonal cab.

I need a lttle more info here.

The monitor is rotated. So why is the image not sideways?

Is the tube a special tube? Or is the image manipulated somehow? And if so how?

Thanks!

I verticle game...Tron, Shooters is written so it plays verticle. Nothing is minipulated. You are assuming the Standard is Horizontal. Programmers decide what would work best for there game. Its all in the PCB. The monitor has nothing to do with it. There is no such thing as a Verticle monitor or a horizontal monitor. They are the same animal, it just depends on how they are mounted.

Brain hurts now.

I know this might seem hard to grasp but the display on a monitor or TV can be made to look anyway the maker of the program wants it to be. I can turn my monitor on its side and display Windows vertically if I really wanted to.
