What's the story...I just noticed over the weekend the intro screens are almost identical. Hell, they are so close that I thought one of the games wasn''t working when cycling through the 4 games in the cab and kept reseating one before I realized what was going on. Never noticed it before, but never had both games in at the same time...

So are the 2 games supposed to be set in the same game universe or was SNK just lazy with the intro screens?

See what you mean. They are both very similar, I wonder how many other SNK or even Neo Geo games share similar Intro's when they are 2 completely different styles/genres of games.

so do the two intros use some of the exact same graphics, or are they just very similar?
probably SNK was just lazy, or the programmers had to meet deadlines.

Yes, the title screen is virtually identical with the exception of different text and a spaceship that flies out in alpha.

I'm going with the theory that cyber-lip is the ground assault for this campaign and alpha mission is the space war. Maybe with this mindset I can enjoy the games a bit more.
