Sony ZN-1 and ZN-2 ROM boards

Are the ROM boards interchangeable to any extent between the ZN-1 and ZN-2 ? I'd be very surprised if they were, but someone I know has asked me.

I assume this is for Namco System 11 and 12 games? Those system boards are unique to that specific Rom board.

In this case it's a couple of Capcom games, Battle Arena Toshinden 2 (ZN-1) and Rival Schools (ZN-2).

There's no protection as such on the boards though is there, ie no suicide battery, etc?
