Hey just a quick question - how do you guys go about replacing ripped / written over or defaced labels on your MVS carts?

I've got a Puzzled. Fatal Fury Special, Art of Fighting, Metal Slug and a World Heroes cart with loads of scribbles / or scrapes over the labels, the world heroes cart is really funny looks like a kid wrote on the front :D

Cheers!

Other than replacing the entire label there is nothing really. The MVS labels get really fragile over time on the older non-gloss labels. Sometimes they get flaky.

yea :(

is there an archive out there with decent scans of the labels for reprinting? would be nice to knock out some labels that look like the old ones...

(i've seen the mvs label project pages but they are not really hiqual enuff for reprinting... shame)

Eh. Reprinting legit labels is frowned upon as it may mislead future buyers. Usually you just make a new label with a font that looks close. southtown-homebrew has the template for photoshop.

If your label is reprinted or replaced keep in mind that it then falls under the cheaper price range between jp and us since the label is the only thing that distinguishes region. Everything in the cart is the same for both.
