Okay, when I get on Xbox live, everything's great... and after about 15 minutes or so, I get it where nobody can join me in SF2, and I can't find any games... this is, of course, horse shit as I can see friends playing the very same game. I try to join them, and it won't let me. EVER.

When I go to the menu, it tells me that certain things on live are not available. Like, everything isn't. If I turn off the stupid thing then come back later, it restarts all over again.

What in the name of fuck is going on? I've opened ports on my wireless router. That didn't fix it. Anyone have this issue? I've looked online, but can't seem to figure out what's wrong here.

I`ve had the same problem but only for a few minutes, most of the stuff was unavailable! I restarted the console and it came back to normal!
Contact xbox support is the only advise i can give you!
Wish good luck!

Are you positive your ports are open correctly? When you go to do a connection test in your dash, does it clear that without putting up a warning sign at the end? Make sure you've made the IP on your 360 static as well. If they are open, you could try and DMZ your 360.

A friend of mine had a lot of the same issues that you're talking about. Once I helped him open his ports, he was fine.

Do you Cable Internet? If so have you tried hooking up your Xbox directly to the modem instead of going through the router?

Do you have a weak wireless connection (poor signal strength?) - I dunno man, I've had problems connecting to other people (exactly like Subcons) but that was a problem with my router. never heard of the problem you are having.

If you don't want to mess with your router configuration, you could always just buy a different model. My old Motorola Wireless model was a bitch about XBL/PSN, and I got sick of messing around with opening ports for different games and services.

I just bought a Linksys WRT54GS and everything works fine with no extra configuration needed. I get wide open NAT on XBL/PSN.

Usually the DMZ will fix any problems with Live. Also check your NAT settings.

Thanks guys. Still having problems. I've opened all the ports that I'm supposed to and so on...

The thing that makes me mad is, when I FIRST turn it on, everything's great. I can see tons of different games being played, and I can join ANYONE. After about 20 minutes, it starts to get laggy. I go out, and look for more games. GHOST TOWN. Nobody is there (supposedly). If I turn my router off for a few minutes, and then back on... it's okay again.

Sound like NAT, but I have no idea where to configure that to be better on my shitty router. Mine's a Linksys WRT54G2, almost like Ghost Dog's, I guess.

So, if I ever invite you to a game, and you can't join... well, that's why.
