Created this thread so as not to keep derailing R3LL1K's sale thread in the Neo For Sale section.

I was able to dissolve most of the paint on the plate, but what you see now, it just won't come off. Here's a pic of what it looks like now:

Unfortunately my scanner isn't long enough to scan the entire plate so I might have to go to Kinkos and get it scanned in there at a high rez and possibly get it vectored if they even do that.

Would anyone else be interested in getting a repro of this thing? I don't know anyone that actually creates these things so I guess this is basically to drum up a need for them.

Is that just yellow paint? It kind of looks like brass with the glare from the flash and the black streaks from the other paint make it look brushed. Since you got yours cleaned up you probably don't need another one do you?

It's not yellow paint, the sticker itself yellowed, much like a SNES body. You can see it was more silver or white up at the top. I think these stickers/decals just yellow over time. Every picture I've seen of them are very similar. And you're right, I don't need another. If yours is in really good condition though (at least better than mine) then maybe it would be better for you to scan it (or send it to me to scan and I can send it back whatevs).

I just wouldn't mind a nice repro of this thing that way when I finally finish my cab (hopefully sometime by this winter) it will look nice and new.

When I had my two slot someone needed a scan of this plate to make a repro..but for me too it's two big to ft in the scanner I had..

It would be nice to see repros available of this plate..

and the smaller 4 slot mem card plate.

Well the 4 slot was repro'd by eccs19. I haven't bought one of those but I bought some side-art decals from him and they are really nice. Here's a thread on the memcard decal

Does anyone know who could manufacture these? I remember eccs19 saying it could be a little expensive.

Depends how you want them to be. If you want them to be adhesive backed it costs more. If you just want some card stock and glue it on yourself it would be cheaper.

Once you create the image maybe Dan at ST can print a couple out on one sheet.

I guess I could be OK with card stock. Just lamanate it or something and then glue it on. The sticker itself isn't going to see much action anyway, it's just for aesthetics.

Yep, those be the 4 slot kind. Thanks for looking out though. I'm gonna try to get to Kinko's today and see if I can get it scanned.

Finally got around to going to a Kinkos/Fedex but I didn't have my thumb drive with me and the bastards refused to email the file.

Anyway it only costs a dollar to get it scanned, but who would be the person to 'restore' the image? As you can tell by the pic, the corners on mine are a little jacked so it would take some photoshoppin'. Then from there, getting it turned into a vector image so it can be expanded/shrunken/etc.

Anyone here that's good at that?

hes on ignore and i dont read his posts, he's got some e-vendetta or something. I saw in chris1's quote that he said he'd do a repro for it. That's surprising he usually can't contain himself and ends up being rude.

i guess if I can't find anyone else to do it I'll contact him but I'd rather deal with someone with less attitude.

I hardly ever feel the love here. A lot of people are nice but some just give you this underlying attitude when you ask a simple question. It's getting old.

I went to kinkos to finally get it scanned and I opened it up and guess what.. it's not straight. Damn kid. here's a screengrab I did from the pdf I got. They scanned it at 600dpi

Good, now get some exact measurements and then I can make an exact replica, scanners sometimes can either shrink or enlarge the actual object being scanned.

As far as the attitude, I'm only being frank. You have been an ass countless times with retarded threads and what have you, so don't blame for speaking my mind.

BTW, ignore lists are retarded.
