Hori 3 pad for PS3

My 2nd PS3 controller is starting to take a crap on me so I am looking for a new controller. Was looking into the Hori3 pad as a replacement since I want something a little different for my 2nd controller. I did have a question though. I read a couple reviews where people said it would not work while playing PS1 games, others said it would work fine with PS1 games. I'm talking about actual discs and not PSone games from PSN. Since I still play some PS1 games this is pretty important for me and I need a concrete answer. Just looking for some people who have this controller who can verify this for me. Would appreciate any input.

hori sticks aint what they used to be. pads just work better on this gen consoles

Don't know if it wks w ps1 games but its a GREAT stick. It rocks for KOF12.

I've got a Jap Hori Fighting Stick 2 that's compatible with PS1 and PS2. it's good for Metal Slug X and RealBout Fatal Fury on my PS1.

I think they're PS3 compatible with an adapter. Not a bad stick but I prefer the DC arcade stick.
