Hey peeps,

Just got delivered a Burning Fight MVS cart, folks at Royal Mail (our postal company in the UK) seem to have played a few rounds of football with it before it got to me :( cart case was a little damaged so I cleaned it up, gave the connectors a customary clean and tried it out on the four slot.

The odd thing is the game starts - > shows the title screen, allows you to start a game and pick your character but on beginning the game it just hangs without showing any ingame characters (it did however show the characters on the player select screen) it also plays the music just fine...

This is super weird, not come across this sorta thing before hehe - has anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

I've taken a look at the boards and they look just fine too (original boards, no bad connections etc)... well strange

oops! I forgot to say i did that already

hmmm gonna have another bosh at cleaning it - the 4slot is all sparkly and fresh atm so its not that end...

maybe its worth re-doing all the soldering on the boards?... will take a little while but its prob that thats busting it :)

just check for cracked solder points at the game boards you don´t need to re-do all solder.

I'm glad to have found this topic.

I was having this same exact problem, in fact before this I would have a lot of audio glitches too. Clearing the RAM has restored the game to perfectly working order so far. My cart looks horrible on the inside though, so I had just assumed the cart was faulty.:A:

WOW!!..To me that cart looks like it has had a lot of repair work done.

I'd honestly be fearfull to put it in my cab..

Well the audio glitches returned on mine, but I've been thinking about rebuying this game anyway. I like this game too much to tolerate the glitches.

I'd have a go at resoldering those big wires on the larger chips before shelling out for another copy - they look like they have an awful lot of solder on them! (check for any bridged connections or cracked joints)
