Hi guys. I was wondering if there are any good platformer/action games on the Neo Geo? I have played Magician Lord and i dont like it. Its just too damn hard!

Ganryu, seriously the game is challenging and it has that old PCE feel to it.

I really did enjoy Spin Master but wish it was 4 times longer, would have been the best.
But
I would have to go with Ganryu, the game doesn't even feel arcade at all. It just feels like kick-your-ass console platformer.

Top Hunter should be in my mail box soon. I'm glad to hear that some are saying it's one of the best performers on the system. The only Platformer I have now is Magician Lord, which is in my cab regularly.
Some Neo Geo platformers don't even sound like titles of platformers. Top Hunter sounds like a hunting game and Spin Master sounds like a puzzle game to me.

Ignoring the obvious answer of the slug series, id say cyberlip. It has a great storyline and bosses .
Dont know how anyone can put in spinmasters , its eye candy but has the cheapest bosses ever. just like king of monster 2

Another vote for Spinmaster. This would be one of the top platformers on any other system of that generation as well!

I think Spinmaster is awsome but I wasn't sure what platformer stands for in this question. I'm not very familiar with game genres save the usual stuff. I guess sometimes I get confused when they call Zupapa and NIghtmare in the Dark pLatformers, but then they call MSlug and Spin Master run and gun.
I personally think Spinmaster is long as fuck, well I'm trying to 1CC it so it feels like mission impossible for me at the moment.

To me the only true platformer on the system is Blue's Journey, and it's mediocre at best. Spinmaster has no real platforming in it at all, although it is a good game.
I haven't played Gun Lord yet, but I have a feeling it's not really a true platformer either. NG
ev Team should do an honest to god platformer as their next project. Finally fill a gaping hole in the Neo's library.
