Is it just me, or is the price guide still messed up? Seems like things are more realistic on games like Pulstar now. However, some of the prices are just way off.

Examples: Money Puzzle Exchanger for $50-100. Prehistoric Isle 2 for $70-120. Ragnagard for $5-20. Breakers Revenge for $10-45. Japanese Crossed Swords for $5-15. Zed Blade for $15-30. Samurai Shodown 5 Special When's the last time any of those games went for a price anywhere close to the bottom end of those ranges?

Also, Neo Turf Masters, along with the high value for Puzzle Bobble 2, and Spinmaster all seem a little high.

SSVS easily goes for more than the bottom end of its range.

I think theres are a few games which are way off the current going rate, mainly the more expensive stuff.

5 copies of Twinkle star sprites aes have sold since march (just what ive seen) all of which have sold for £650-£900 which is around $1100-$1500,

Two copies have sold on Uk ebay in the last 3 weeks for £650-£660

Yet the price guide states $600-$700 wtf?? ill have 10 please..

Price guide, not bible.

The amount you pay for an item is up to you. I find deals all the time for the low side of the price guide, sometimes even lower than that.

I'm not sure, but I think updating the MVS price guide has increased the amount of price-guide-related bitching.

It's fine, and XX hit it on the nose: it's just a range. Really cheap to the most you should pay, and everything in between. IMO BAMA/PB2 is worth $130-$160...and, hey, look at that, that range fits nicely inside the one on the price guide.

Keep up the good work, TonK.

Exactly, its just a reference - NOT WHAT YOU SHOULD PAY.

Thanks buddy - I think the OP is a little miffed that he overpaid for one too many games.

I, like Xian Xi have found stupid deals on games - the price guide is an UNBIASED REFERENCE.

Its not just me dictating what titles are worth.

I've had some help from plenty of members including Xian Xi, kernow, Tomcat, Terry330, Kiselgof, systmdfect, plus a few others.

Its a community effort.

Like kernow said - its in his head.

We should make the price guide with only original arcade cart prices from the 90s. Does anyone remember those prices? Shit is it Saturday morning now? I gotta get to bed.

$1600?? :lolz: You know I've seen a lot of buy it now auctions with stupid prices actually get bought but that is probably the worst by far. It's literally a thousand dollars more than it's worth! Wow............ English MOTW has been a ~$550 game for a long long time now and it's never budged much.

Too bad with eBay's shitty new listings we can't see any information on the buyer. At least then we could see if he's a n00b or just some tart with too much money. I suppose the root cause is stupidity in either case so maybe that is moot.

$1600 is quite pricey, but $550 is too cheap for a good condition English MOTW. Twinkle Star could be easily had for less than $700 for a long time, but now it's hard to find for under a grand. The times are changing, and these games don't surface as much as they used to.
