Interesting TATE setup?

So I'm starting to think that a cool way to handle TATE would be one of the new LED pocket projectors. Run RGB through an XRGB-2 converter ... to the projector via VGA... then project and scale it up as large as possible without getting too much blur. You'd have to have well controlled light, which is no problem. I've seen some little tripod things for these so I'd have to work out an easy mount where I could quickly rotate the projector.

These are fairly new so a bit of research would be necessary to get the right one... but I'm thinking it would be a really easy way to handle shooters and always using the right display orientation...

Thoughts?

Just keep in mind that the smaller the projector the more potential of pixelation exists on images above 35". This is due to the limited size of the dot pitch possible for the pixels. So if you plan on stretching it passed 35" then don't be surprised if it looks a tad pixelated. Of course the closer you sit to the image the more pronounced it is.

Yeah I have decided the new little projectors are lacking at the moment but I'm still stoked about this idea. One of the main things I'm curious about is avoiding needing to scale the resolution to accommodate the latest LCDs.. so yea I guess the disadvantage is in the feasible size. Honestly I think keeping it even smaller than 30" would be ok as long as it still looked sharp then.
