Anyone ever play this on CD? Zintrick's an awesome and oft-overlooked puzzle game.... adds a lot of variety to the Neo's puzzle lineup. While the Puzzle Bobbles and de Pons cover the bubble-shooting spectrum pretty well, with Ghostlop adding something new and exciting, and Pochi to Nyaa brings different gameplay to the mix, and Puzzled being good if you're into Tetris, it seems to me like Zintrick provides a pretty good puzzle experience that just doesn't exist properly on MVS.

Would anyone else want to see a version of this on MVS with sound effects that work properly? I know the full-on CD music couldn't be transitioned over, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to play the game on your arcade setup?

I don't know about anyone else, I'd love to see a decent Zintrick for MVS.

Would love to see it as well. Out of all the arcade platforms I've played/had I enjoy the MVS the most. It'd be great to see new titles for it (unreleased protos/ homebrew, etc..) Any uber-nerds out there capable of doing so, get to work! :D

Throwing my name in as another person who would love to see this on MVS. I have a boot cart (Puzzle de Pon) to throw in also for anyone that might want to see if they can do it.

Puzzled is ugly and dull, but is not bad. In fact it suffers greatly from being difficult and that along with it's lackluster turns people away, but if you truly are a Tetris hound this game is a challenge and a half, but only for avid puzzlers.

I haven't played Zintrick yet, I'd love to give it a shot and see what's up!

Pochi and Puzzled are shockingly bad.
1. No.
2. Kernow didn't seem to have anything bad to say about Zintrick... that must mean it's the second cumming of Christ in video game form.

You probably realized and I'm misunderstanding your post, or if I'm mistaken about something, but I'm pretty sure the game was actually officially released for NeoGeo CD. I think you can find ROMS of it online, if you're into that.... I'd rather get a cart of it, myself, though.

Well, if someone uses legit SNK boards for it, and there are legit SNK boards in that PDP boot, you may find it useful... I think if someone were to try to make a Ghostlop for you, you could probably get a discount for shipping in legit SNK boards, because it would cut the maker's cost.

Amen. Puzzled is a little too hard for me, and may be uglier than sin, but that doesn't stop me from playing it. I've only ever made it through maybe 4 or 5 stages on one credit.... but I like games I can't CC on the first try.

EG, you should download a torrent of NeoRageX (an emulator) with a full rom collection, and check out Zintrick. I'm not one to advocate piracy, but when a game's not seen a proper release, I'm all about spreading the love.

Sorry, in my earlier post I was referring to Zintrick being a new title to the MVS. mmsadda's first post indicated he wanted to see it as a new title on the MVS and I agree with him. I don't think I stated anything that indicated Zintrick not being a proper release. I only stated that it would be nice to see new titles for the MVS.

I don't think it should have been released :p

Crappy game man.

Now Ironclad is worth checking out.

Personally I like Zintrick (bought the CD a long time ago), I'm a sucker for Puyo-style puzzlers and still play it, the horizontal setup and the extra attacks are really cool. IMO it's not a must-have but a decent (and underrated) title.

.

Making an MVS version of Zintrick may be much more expensive than buying a NGCD + the game, what's more, the latter would enable you to play the other CD-exclusives (Ironclad, etc.) as well. Zintrick loads very quickly, btw.

Mmmkay... funny how none of 'em are still standing.

See Kern, the difference between you and me is this: I like to play video games. You like to bitch about them.
Since when is Zintrick NGCD not a proper release?
my mistake; I meant to say a proper MVS release. Nothing wrong with the CD version, but I don't have CD hardware.

Ah, very nice! It's a fun game. Not the definitive puzzle game on NeoGeo, but definitely a good break away from the other puzzlers.

Also, I can't imagine Zintrick costing much more than Ghostlop to make for MVS.

There is a Rom out there on the internet of this game that runs in MVS emulators.
I started it up in Kawaks and it runs, but I didnt have time to play it yet.
