I got an N-Gage QD complete in the box, along with a set of replacement buttons and a replacement shell in case anything goes wrong. It also came with the following games, all complete (except Tony Hawk, which came with the system):
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
Super Monkey Ball
Colin McRae Rally 2005
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Bomberman
Spider-Man 2
Pocket Kingdom
SonicN
Pathway to Glory
NCAA Football 2004

All for 75 dollars shipped. I'm not going to use it as a phone, as my carrier is not SIM-card based.

So, do you think I got a good deal? And for other N-Gage owners, what games can you recommend?

I mostly play the System Rush demo I have on my phone (awesome game). I'd play more, but it's a hassle to change out games. I DL'd a bunch of the games to put on the memory card, but was unable to get my phone to detect them. Lame.

PS - The price seems right to me for a system and that many games.

I remember that thread. I posted in it, saying the controls on the N-Gage were too awkward. And I still think that, which is why I got the QD. You also don't have to take the thing apart to change games, which is a major plus for me.

My top 5 N-Gage games would be: High Seize, Pathway to Glory 1 & 2, Glimmerati, Mile High Pinball and Darxide. (Darxide is a download only symbian version of the rare Sega 32x space shooter)

There were lots of other decent N-Gage exclusives like Rifts, Catan, System Rush, Roots, Shadowkey, One, Warhammer, and Xanadu Next.

Most of the muti-platform titles weren't very good on N-Gage. They were usually just half-assed GBA conversions. Only a couple of exceptions like THPS and Tomb Raider that were closer to the PS1 versions and really showed the system's capabilities. King of Fighters, X-Men Legends, Atari Masterpieces, and Civilization were pretty good too.

Beyond the N-Gage library it can also run a lot of other games, apps, and emulators written for SymbianOS.

huh.
bomberman looks okay.
I have an ngage, but it's boxed up in storage.
I got one of the original versions and being the tomb raider fan
that I am, I picked it up when all those games were being
cleared out for < $5
it was a good port, pretty impressive that they could fit that
game on a card like that, along with pandemonium.
the only thing keeping me from playing it though was the controls,
the thing was just not made for gaming.

That's why you need the QD. As I've stated on this very forum, the original N-Gage really put me off. But the QD is a vast improvement.

I was one of the few, and I mean few people who bought a N-gage QD new. I used it as a phone for awhile too. But then we realized how un-practical that was and I got switched over to verizon.

Pocket kingdom was alot of fun back when people owned the N-Gage and played with them. I played with some other people over the infrastructure . Pretty fun little game. Other then that one, I never really had too many games for it. Then I think I missed the whole clearancing out of the games (or I was already through with it)

Got everything in the mail today. It's pretty impressive.

The controls are a lot more ergonomic than the original system, and the games look pretty nice.

Just copy the games to the root of the MMC. You won't see them on the MMC but they are there. Just click the yes to all when you copy over the games. If you install this on the N-gage you can see all the files on the phone's memory and the card.
