Can everyone please buy as many shockboxes as they can (over the next few months)? We need places like Southtown-homebrew.com and Arcadeshock.com to keep stocking them (and BB to keep doing orders of them), so it would help if demand for them stays high over the next 3-5 months.

lol, I know you hate these...

And yeah, it's a kerfuffle as you need an insert & then you
have to do the same for all your carts.

I get a lot of sand trod in the house & with wind / rain
living on the coast, shit gets dusty pretty quickly.

But I want MVS carts handy for pick up play & display
plus some of the work by le geek, dub & NeoCverA
among others is kickass... (Thanks for the I.Maze insert BTW)

I'm not Czar enuff to own any actual cabinet.

Bookshelf with bare MVS on does fine for me, if I cared about artwork I'd be a homecart owner.

Edit: Everyone should buy more pink padded neogeo carry bags

despite the fact they won't use them and will never 'carry' their neo to anyone elses house.

:tickled: this is where my MVS carts currently live which in turn
is also very dusty... Washing machine safe ? :annoyed:

Those are some nice collections! Yes I will be ordering shock boxes from southtown soon. I just wish they would stock the non imperfect ones soon again.

I would just rather buy the shockboxes and put a sticky note on the cover telling myself what game it is. I don't have the space to display them. So I have to put them in a box or a cabinet. For a time I had my carts in in ziploc bags.

If they are just MVS carts that you are storing away, why use the shockboxes? I guess you would keep any dust off the edges...
Just curious.

Most of mine are imperfects that I got either through transactions here or via south-town, and not a single one could I find anything that would make me think they were imperfects. In all honesty, if you want some schockboxes, just get those guys....

Gunning for every MVS is a mission, wonder if Alec ever tracked down
that Super Bubble Pop Kit ?

I vote taking a few beers around to Alec's place and
mixing up those carts when he's not looking.

You people obviously employ the woman to clean around the house
& take the dust out ;)

Such things (woman & vacuum) are beyond my grasp of science, lost
in some magical voodoo concept.

Are the red shocks not doable for another run ?
More expense to produce ?

BB can correct me if I'm misstating him... but I believe it was more of a storing thousands upon thousands of shockboxes (the minimum run necessary), searching through everyone to say which is 100% and which is a bit of an imperfect for one reason or another, and so forth. That's one hell of a job and responsibility for one guy.

Whoa... That's some minimum run.
Massive respect for Rob's work, I never knew that.

kind of puts this thread into context.

Yeah, I don't have to. I just like a minimal amount of protectiveness, which is why I used the bags before. I was actually thinking of trying to find a cap that can fit snugly on the bottom of the cart to protect the board edges. That would be cool.

I just posted the loose carts to point out it would cost me thousands to do shockboxes.

OH SHIT V LINER AND JOCKEY GRAND PRIX!!!

:oh_no:

Not to mention the awesome quiz chibi, quiz KOF and suchlike.

awesome collection of shit games man! - kudos
Actually, V-Liner and Digger Man still aren't pictured. I wanna take a higher res photo next time so you can read all the titles.

Still looking for that. When I move back to the US I hope to someday have a house with a projector so I can have people over regularly to use the supergun.

Super Bubble pop is wideley known as being terrible, why would anyone want to own it, theres other better games on .. other systems you know.

I never understood completing a systems games library because it inevitably means you have terrible games in your 'collection' .. games that won't get played and are usually worth a fair bit, that could go towards actual GOOD games you would play and enjoy.

Sometimes I don't even think the people that do this are proper gamers, maybe a little bit deranged or mentally ill or something.

those carts would look even better if u did them up in shockboxes. u could sell your car or something like that, then you'd have thousands to get shockboxes.
