MVS mini marquee question

This is kind of a weird question but I never got a key with my MBS 4 slot to open up the mini marquee display...is there a generic one out there that I can buy? Or is there an easy way to get around this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Can you remove the metal piece on the top of the marquee? My 4 slot has screws holding that in place. Once you get that out you should be able to remove the marquee and take apart the cam lock (the lock you don't have a key for). Home Depot sells replacements for about $5.

Hmmm...I looked and couldn't find any screws. All I found was a hinge on top...not sure if I'm missing it or what... :oh_no:

You sound like you have a ver.3 4-slot cab. In that case you'll need to drill out those locks to gain access to the mm and etc.

My 4 slot doesn't have any screws underneath the marquee by the hinge, but there are 3 big ones on top of the metal piece holding it in. Of course mine is a version 2 so. If yours is a v3 then you will probably need to do some locksmithing to get it out of there.

I had to pick the lock on my v3 when I got it...V2 had srews on the top..but they were tork type security bits.

Yes it is ver. 3. So I guess try to pick it or call a locksmith?

Or drill it and buy some $5 locks from home depot.

drilling it out is probably going to be the cheapest way to go as long as you are comfortable with the DIY style. Locksmith is gonna cost more and even then you still dont have the key to the marquee anyway.

I think I'm going to try to drill it out. Anyone know of a place I can find out how to do this the right way or have experience doing it?

A lock-smith prob would end up doing the same thing and charge you lots of $ to do it.
