Ok i know most people here hate the multicart and I think now I know why.

Last week I won an auction for a 100 in 1 cart. I'm in the US and the seller was in Australia and had zero feedback. I figured what the heck it's a new seller, red flags went off but I still bid. The auction went off for less than 100 but I'm not sure the exact price. After winning the auction I got a email, keep in mind I have not yet tried to pay for the item yet....

We do feel so sorry about that .
I guess U can't check it out smoothly .
Cuz our PAYPAL account has been limited at that moment.

We are not sure what's wrong wiht it.
Anyway, We was contacing PAYPAL to settle the problem right now.

While this assisting period, could you mind to pay the total amount
to my Friends verified account first ( Ms Cheung Hin Ching ) : XXXXXXXX@gmail.com.

Once the payment reaches that PayPal account, we will ship it in 12 hours as usual.

Don't have to worry about the shipment at all.
We will ship it in a short time ( And let U know the tracking number as well ), as it's our fault that we can't make the transaction much faster.

Anything we can do a help with , just let us know.

P/S: Sorry about that as I'm a beginner on eBay and Paypal.

Jennifer.

Ok so now red flags are flying high. There was no way I was gonna paypal this persons friend for the item. So I leave to go to work and figured I'd respond back to the seller once I got off work. I got off work too tired and went to bed. I woke up in the morning to email the seller only to find the auction was removed from ebay and the seller is no longer registered. I felt like I dodged the bullet and survived the scam. I kind felt bad for others because alot of multicarts went off from the same seller and lots of other people might of actually paypaled this "friend". Well I left to go to work today and found a fedex sticker on my door, I went to the office and and picked up the mystery package thinking it might be my Metal Slug 5 mvs kit.....I get in the car and open it....its a 100 in 1 multicart....

So I have no contact info for the seller and I have not paid for this cart. No idea whats going on here. Anyways I put it in my phantom-1 and put it in my AES..

What a hunk of shit. I have yet to get one game to play without freezing. The other 98 percent reboot over and over and over. I don't know if its the cart or the fact that I'm using a phantom 1 and not the super adapter or whatever it's called.
So long story short the multicart, which was free, is a hunk of shit when being played through a phantom-1.

I think that freezing problem has to due with the converter. No doubt those carts are terrible...but they usually at least work.

Hey, cheers for a free neo cart.

Well if that seller has scammed people before with previous accounts, you could say the free neo cart was justified.

If that isn't the case, perhaps you could report it to eBay?... Or you could always just keep it. :p

I've been thinking it over and I'm going to keep it. Might get a CMVS or a super adapter 2 to play this thing though.

Yeah, you could always do that.

Though wouldn't an original MVS board + Supergun be less expensive than a Super Converter 2?

I second that! It would be best in the long run to sell the AES+Phantom-1 to get a CMVS.

Problem is I got no idea how to put it all together.

It is really easy if you can handle a soldering iron. You could also buy a supergun, I've seen some great ones around here. And I guess that it would still be cheaper.

I started fairly recently with the Neo Geo, and bought a Super Converter 2 soon afterwards. I also had an MVS at a cabinet, and got an XRGB to connect my consoles to the TV. After a while my AES has seen no action and all I use now is an MVS-1F on the supergun I ended making. It was way cheaper than getting the AES and the RGB looks better as well. Consider all the options I say.

Those listings definitely looked dodgy to me.

Interesting story

You gotta tell eBay though . It is the right thing to do. Even if they do not provide the sellers contact info, at least you tried and that is what counts. They trusted that you would be an honest buyer and shipped in good faith so that you would not expierence delays. You have to return that trust. and try to pay them.

Stupid and unorganized on their part I know, but it is still the right thing to do.

As far as not wanting to pay for a cart that freezes and reboots, That is a risk you took when bidding on counterfit carts and is not the fault of the seller. You both knew what the item was.

PS thanks for the news that it doesnt work well on the phantom, I must admit I have been tempted ;)

Cheers

Also, he's Neo could be a high serial number too. So it could've gave him bad compatibility issues with the Phantom-1 and the bootastic multi-cart.

I just sent ebay an email about the situation. My S/N is 098827 and it's from japan. I'm not sure if that would be the issue or not. The cart wont even boot on my other US system. The freezing isn't as bad as the constant rebooting the games do.

You did the right thing. Even if you do end up paying fopr the item. I bet you can still sell it for a profit to someone who has a 1 slot.

No offense, but stop buying this shit. The vast majority of carts you'd probably wish to play could be had for cheap anyway. The shitty hacks are a joke at best and your mvs cries every time that cart is played man......:(
