I've been trying to get some compressed 7z gba roms to run on my nds via my m3 but they do not work compressed, even if I extract them it will still not work. How do I go about getting those zipped files and changing them to single .gba files? Is there some sort of tool that changes those multiple unzipped files to a single .gba file?

I have a M3 with 8gb Sd and GBA Expansion. I have gba games that run fine. Its the zipped ones that I can't run, even when I extract them. Do you get what I'm saying?

Kind of. Not sure what the problem might be other than the roms getting corrupted for some reason or just plain bad dumps.

Yea, me either. I tried renaming the the .zip to .gba and still nothing. Some zipped gba games when extracted have multiple files instead of one single gba file. They work fine when running on a pc emu, but do not work when running on the nds. I'm going to mess around with it a little more and see if I could get it to work.

Certain sites will zip already zipped files. I bet you DLed a single compressed file, and it uncompressed into a bunch of already compressed files! ROM Groups as a standard will release games as compressed files split into standard sizes. Certain ROM sites will in turn, compress those pieces (.001, .002, etc) into 1 ZIP file for downloading ease. So they are actually double compressed.

You have to uncompress THOSE .001 .002 files and it will end up being what you need, a single .gba file. Your emu is probably uncompressing those .001 files for you to load the game.

I suggest WinRAR as it will deal with zip, 7z and rar.

Only one game came to my mind when I saw that tile of this thread, and that was Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride. Ambitious as it was, with both maps and over 100 voice samples from CT on the DC, it had some pretty bad control, graphics and collision detection. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that 3D on the GBA, even though its kinda capable of it, should just not be done?

The e-Reader and cards should be ok to use on the GBA and GBASP. Im not sure about the NDS. Is that what you meant?
