So I came across a Crazy Taxi Upright which is the Naomi Universal for cheap ($400). I actually want a cab which I can plug in an Xbox 360 to and i've read that it can be plugged in using VGA cables.

My main use would be for fighting games and I know how to padhack and what not, but is this a challenging conversion? Is it easy to take the current steering wheel control panel off and replace it with something like an Astro city CP? Are there any other challenges I would face?

It should fit any of the Sega CPs with no problems. It likely has the Sega JVS I/O since it's the only one that supports wheels, lightguns, etc. If you want to hook it up to your xbox all you have to do is unplug the monitor and audio cables from the Naomi and then hook em up to your xbox (you probably need some adapter cable to give you VGA for the xbox), should be really easy. After that you just need to put the hacked pads in the CP area and run the cords down through the legs to your xbox.

That sounds great because I would really love to pick this thing up as long as the monitor is in good condition. What kind of adapter cable would I need for the Xbox and would that create some sort of lag?

Alright so the response I got from someone at ArcadeOtaku was:

"the whole CP assembly is different and to buy the parts needed is going to be expensive - you might be better off trying to get a junker and stripping it - that way you could sell the legs etc for probably more than you paid for the cab and use the CP on your own.

the monitor is just a standard VGA monitor so from that point of view any console that outputs VGA would work on the screen."

I was looking at pictures and it does look different. The thing is though I do have a Virtua Stick Pro (HSS0130) and an Astro City CP Housing (The part that flips up when you want to get to the wiring on the CP). Would either of those work?
