I think Channelmaniac can feedback better....but i think you just need change the two memory in the right side of the picture bellow....

If i'm not wrong the memory in the left are for Video RAM....and in the right are for Working ram....

In any Neo-CD motherboard you will find the same memory....so just replace it.

Goodlucky

EDIT****

So its video ram error ??? If yes the correct memory to change are on the left side.......

Yeah, you just need to put in some new RAM, you can probably find the chips fairly cheap if you look in the right place

I'll attempt it myself first, I already got the existing ones off cleanly. Sent an order your way RJ.

Got the new ram chips today and already put them in, and the board works again. Thanks for the help.

WOOHOO!

Always nice to bring something back to life, isn't it? :D

Do you think you could do anything with my PGM DOJ board? Arcaders on AO had a look at it , even replaced some ram, thinks its a custom chip or something, he spent hours on it but charged me very little.

I'm thinking of sending it to one more person and then just selling it as dead and in need of repair, someone stupid might buy it

:crying: let me know what you think .

sorry to hijack the thread but its semi relevent. :crying:

If a board comes with a backup ram error, could it be the same ram chips, but on the flip side in the back up ram area?
