Best way to remove a fake label

I recently bought some MVS carts, and some of them have fake home made labels on top of what I presume to be the original japanese label. Has anyone figured out how to remove a fake label without tearing up the one underneath?

I was thinking you could heat up the glue with a hair dryer, but I feel like the labels are pretty well bonded after a few years have gone by.
