NGCD Disk IO Error

I have a Japanese NGCD unit and the CDROM started failing with a Disk IO Error ID:0002. Since the manual is in japanese I have no idea what the failure is. Little help please.

Is the CD you're using a bootleg?

If it is, then that's the reason. Some bootlegs work fine, others don't.

If it isn't a bootleg, you may want to clean your lens with a CD Head Cleaner/Lens cleaner.
