simple old style neo stick question

Hmmm, I don't know if my stick is "messed up".


If I press the stick down a little bit in the neutral position and move it to the left or right while "holding" it down, I hear a loud pop. The micro swiches sound normal..and I don't think it's just the stick hitting the outside of the casing.

I've had this stick for years and never noticed this. Is this normal?

Normal to hear when you do that but not normal to do.

I agree It's not normal to do...but I guess it happens sometimes.

The sound will come out with a Forward, back, forward for example.

Is this sound normal as a sign of eventual wear or am I just paranoid that my stick is on it's way out?
