The Motherload

Other people find some change in the couch or maybe some bills in an old jacket.

I just found a box with about 30 or so sealed PS2 games... mostly 2D shooters and fighters. Man I miss the dual income/no kids days...

Anyone else have stories where they found a bunch of old gaming treasure they forgot they had?

I forgot I bought a sealed copy of Guilty Gear. I remember getting it at Walmart for like 5 bucks about 10 years ago or so. I bought a second copy 'cause it was cheap as hell and I really love GG it is my favorite fighting game rigth after Fatal Fury Special. I found it after I moved to the place I live now, it was among some books in a box for no apparent reason, I was pumped!

Heh... there was a sealed first print of Ibara in there with the bonus booklet.

I remember digging around the closet & finding a Nintendo 64 & 16 games for it back in 2005. The stuff was in there at the time since 2003. Soon after that, I was buying N64 games like crazy at Gamestop since I realized that they'll probably get rid of them soon.

A year later, I was searching the same closet again at September 9, 2006 & I found a Sega Dreamcast with 2 controllers, 1 of them broken. All the games were in my brother's room so I didn't need to look for them. The Dreamcast & the controllers were in the closet since 2003.

Around early to mid 2006, I was looking around in the car & I found Pokemon Red. For 3 years, I didn't know that it was in the car the whole time. Too bad the game couldn't save though.

Around 2006 or 2007, I found Pokemon Ruby in a box with various other stuff in it. It was in there since either late summer or early fall of 2004. I didn't remember how that game just happened to end up in that box.

They were buried in the bottom of a closet. I think it was from a blurry era right about when my kids were born. I must have nabbed the stuff that came out I was interested in, but then didn't have any time.

I also got booted from my former man cave about that time so I think that's when they went off the radar.

I just found a copy of Ninja Masters in my closet that i don't even remember where i got it from

I found a sealed "nightmare before Christmas" ps2 game behind some stuff on my shelf last week.
