MV1C bios mod z80 error with no cart inserted

I don't recall this but I just need confirmation.
Now I know the MV1B will yield you this z80 error message while using a normal bios with no cartridge inserted BUT is this the case with the MV1C?

Yes it will. No cart in a MV1C will yield the Z80 error.

XX, would clearing the ram help this issue, just curious?

Thanks for that because I had one sitting over here with the mod that I just got rid of. It worked with a normal bios with the game inserted. I have an ancient bios that came up with it's menu(luv the early ones) but then I tried a bios 2.1. It yielded me just a black screen. I then tried the bios in another unit where it yielded me a black screen , then I reseated it in the non MV1C and it worked..Blah..Blah..Blah..
The 2.1 bios may be the problem,not sure.

No the error is normal when there is no cart in a 1C.
