It uses a Z80, can not find a crystal, it must be on the other board.

Picked up a pile of faulty boards the other day, there is a chance the other board is there.

OK found it, it looks like a Galaxian bootleg PCB. See pic below of the Galaxian, what has me baffled is the Taito board sticker ?. The top board has more rom sockets/ locations than the Galaxian bootleg.

Well, it's a bootleg. A real Galaxian I believe is a single board.

Maybe it was converted to a Galaxian from an older Taito board.

Taito did have a game in 1979 called Galaxy Wars but it's a different game than Galaxian. Back in those days, hacks and bootlegs were very commonplace and yep, having the Taito sticker on that board is perplexing at best.

Ive looked at those (the ones I could find) this is completely different.

On the board in question notice the difference on the LHS of the Z80 - it is not the standard galax boot as in the bottom picture, that has an edge connect from the Z80 for test purposes.

The original Balley-Midway single Galaxian boards also have this.

Then again it may just be a different version boot, but why the Taito sticker which appears to be original.
