is my mvs broken

what does it mean when my mvs says "WARNING this rom cartridge is for use with original snk boards only. copying of snk boards is prohibited and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties and will be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law." It was just working fine about a month ago, and i cleaned all the contacts.....

Clear the back up ram.

Turn it off and flip dip switch 1 on then turn it back on and hit start until you get to the clear backup ram screen. When prompted press A+B+C to clear it. After you clear it turn the system off and turn off dip 1 and then turn the board back on.
