A while back I picked up a beat up old nintendo cabinet. The poor thing had been converted.

So I've started working on the cabinet trying to turn it into something a bit better than it was. So far.. this is all I've gotten done.

I've started trying to get the paint off and run into trouble.

It seems there is

black,

dark blue,

blue,

light blue,

gray,

and then the original finish. The crap just won't come off. I'm not sure how to get it off and am thinking about trying to sand it all off.
Any suggestions?

The klov guys can help. Mention "nintendo cab" and they'll come running from miles away.

Sanding wont' do you any good... That's a laminate Finnish under there...

As far as I know, there is not perfect color match for replacement laminate.

Goof off will take off latex paint, but will not mess up the finish of the laminate if you don't scrub it too hard.

I was actually pointed in the direction of this stuff by KLOV guys, who swear by it.
