No sprite or background graphics

I have a 2 slot that was previously displaying a 8000 Video Ram error. I replaced the ram and the error went away and the game starts up but without any sprites or background graphics. Any clues? Here's a pic.

Possibly a broken trace. Check continuity from the C chips on the cart.

So I remove the PCB from the cart case, insert it in the slot and check continuity from the cart to the mobo? Are the traces to the mobo easily traced back to the C chips? Sorry haven't opened one of these carts yet so that's why I ask.

Yup, exactly like that. Make sure you put the boards in right. Solder side faces the arrow on the MVS, CHA closest to arrow and PROG in the back.
