Hey all,
I just bought a King of the Monsters cart off eBay.
The cart looks fine, but when I start up the cab (I'm running a 2-slot), there's no start-up screen for this particular game. The normal "Neo Geo - 330 Mega Pro Gear Spec" is strangely absent. It just goes right to the title screen, and then stays there. There's no attract screen, or game demo... nothing.
In fact, the only way for me to get off this screen, is to either hit the start button, to begin a game, or to hit the selector switch to go to whatever's in the other slot.
I've tried running this with both the original Samurai Shodown, as well as Real Bout 2, and I get the same results with either, so I don't think it has anything to do with whatever the second game is. It also plays fine once I actually start up a game.
So, is this normal or do I have a problem?
