100% US cab, can you just swap in a Japanese 4 slot?

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question but I don't know anything about this stuff at all!! :|

so, if there is a US cab that has a bad 2 slot, can I just replace it with an import 4 slot? Or do I need a special harness or powersupply etc?

You should have no problem... The 4 slot is identical... and there are no issues going from US to Japanese, or Euro, or likewise.
